Tennessee native Arthur “Ott” DeFoe had a very good year in 2016, winning his first regular-season Elite event and easily qualifying for the Bassmaster Classic®. When he was twelve, he joined the East Tennessee Bass Anglers Club—and it’s been all fishing, all the time, ever since. He won the 2011 Bassmaster Rookie of the Year award, and has fished every Classic since, placing 5th in 2012 and 4th in 2014.
Ott lives in Knoxville with his wife, Jennie, daughter, Abbie, and twins, Parker and Elizabeth. His family travels to most of the tournaments with him in support. When not fishing for a living, he fishes for fun, spending most of his time on local rivers chasing smallmouth in his 18’ GRIZZLY boat.
